As the album's title makes clear, these recordings are the demo tracks I made in preparation for making the Razed On Love album. At the time, I had recently finished the Rainy Saturday Morning album and was still working on The Old Captain's September ... this was a highly productive period of songwriting for me.

My good friend and terrific drummer, Scott Caldwell, came down to Athens, GA to visit me from Madison, WI during his spring break; he brought his drums and we pretty much just made these recordings (tracks 1 thru 6) and maybe ate some food.

It was Scott, and also Michael Wegner and Betsy Inglesby, who pitched in on these recordings; all three of them were also prominent on the official Razed On Love album as well - much to my delight!
